HPE, NVIDIA Introduce ‘NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE’ for Generative AI

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) and NVIDIA have unveiled ‘NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE’ during HPE Discover 2024, a comprehensive lineup of AI solutions co-developed to drive the adoption of generative AI across industries. This collaboration introduces HPE Private Cloud AI, a groundbreaking solution integrating NVIDIA’s AI computing, networking, and software with HPE’s AI storage and compute technologies under the HPE GreenLake cloud platform.

HPE Private Cloud AI offers enterprises a streamlined path to develop and deploy generative AI applications sustainably and efficiently. It features the new OpsRamp AI copilot for enhanced IT operations management, providing self-service capabilities and full lifecycle management across four customizable configurations to support diverse AI workloads.

This initiative expands on a longstanding partnership between HPE and NVIDIA, underscoring their commitment to simplifying AI adoption for enterprises. Antonio Neri, President and CEO of HPE, emphasized the potential of generative AI to transform enterprises, highlighting the solution’s capability to mitigate risks associated with fragmented AI technologies and safeguard proprietary data.

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, echoed the sentiment, noting the pivotal role of AI and accelerated computing in driving industrial transformation. He highlighted the deep integration of NVIDIA’s AI computing stack with HPE’s private cloud technology, aiming to empower AI professionals with advanced computing infrastructure to push the boundaries of AI innovation.

The collaboration also includes a joint go-to-market strategy involving sales teams, channel partners, and global system integrators like Deloitte, HCLTech, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. These partnerships aim to assist enterprises across various sectors in managing complex AI workloads effectively.

Key components of HPE Private Cloud AI include support for inference, fine-tuning, and RAG AI workloads, enterprise-grade control for data privacy and security, and integrated ITOps and AIOps capabilities for enhanced productivity. The platform integrates NVIDIA AI Enterprise software with NVIDIA NIM™ inference microservices and HPE AI Essentials software, offering a curated AI and data software stack with unified control and compliance features.

HPE GreenLake cloud services provide a seamless, self-service cloud experience with automated management across hybrid environments, ensuring scalability and sustainability for AI deployments. Integration with OpsRamp enhances infrastructure observability and efficiency, leveraging NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platform for enhanced IT operations.

To further accelerate time-to-value, HPE has expanded collaborations with global system integrators to develop AI solutions tailored to specific industry needs. Additionally, HPE supports NVIDIA’s latest GPUs, CPUs, and superchips, ensuring compatibility and scalability for AI and GPU-intensive workloads.
