Acer, a multinational corporation, celebrated 30 years of success in the Middle East and Africa region in April 2022.
The company opened its doors in JAFZA, UAE, in 1992, as part of its first major transformation under the slogan “global brand, local touch,” with only 7 employees. Acer now has three offices in the Middle East and Africa, employing 31 people and serving over 20 countries.
Acer is celebrating three decades in the region by pursuing eco-consciousness for the community at large as a forerunner in sustainable product development, including its Green PC line and other sustainability initiatives under the umbrella of ‘Earthion.’ This April, Acer is helping to protect the environment by desert cleaning, supporting and sponsoring an animal shelter, gifting Ramadan iftar Eid Boxes, donating pre-loved clothes and other items to those in need, tree-gifting, and e-waste recycling.
On the occasion of Acer’s 30th anniversary celebrations, Emmanuel Fromont, Acer’s Corporate Vice President, and President of EMEA Operations, said, “Over the last three decades, Acer has gone from strength to strength in the Middle East and Africa region. Acer is deeply entrenched in the market with a growing number of patrons who are loyal to the group and its products.
