Cisco Reveals AI Breakthroughs at Live Amsterdam

Cisco has made significant strides in Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation and partnerships at Cisco Live Amsterdam, its premier technology event in Europe, attended by over 14,000 IT professionals. Recognizing the transformative potential of AI, particularly Generative AI (GenAI), Cisco highlighted the importance of responsible AI implementation amid concerns about data security, accuracy, privacy, and ethics.

The company emphasized the economic impact of GenAI, estimated to contribute $4.4 trillion annually to global GDP. Despite the widespread recognition of AI’s importance, the recent Cisco AI Readiness Index revealed that only 14 percent of surveyed organizations are fully prepared to integrate AI into their operations.

Reem Asaad, Vice President of Cisco in the Middle East and Africa, emphasized the need for strategic adoption of AI innovations in the face of rapid technological advancements. She highlighted Cisco’s commitment to AI excellence and its alignment with the region’s digital transformation vision, advocating for businesses to leverage AI-powered solutions for enhanced operational efficiency and unprecedented growth opportunities.

Cisco showcased its AI-powered capabilities across products and customer service, leading innovation for AI-ready infrastructure. Key announcements at Cisco Live Amsterdam include collaborations with NVIDIA to deploy secure AI infrastructure, advancements in cybersecurity through Cisco Identity Intelligence, enhancements to the Observability Platform for simplified troubleshooting, and the introduction of Motific, a SaaS product facilitating trustworthy GenAI deployments.

Additionally, Cisco unveiled new technologies to support AI adoption, such as the Cisco X-Series Direct for edge environments and expanded offerings of converged and hyperconverged validated designs. Webex by Cisco also introduced anticipated AI features, including Meeting and Vidcast Summaries and agent burnout detection, to enhance productivity and collaboration.
