Crafted with the needs of professionals in mind, Dell proudly introduces the world’s inaugural five-star certified monitors for optimal eye comfort – the Dell UltraSharp 27 ThunderboltTM Hub Monitor (U2724DE) and Dell UltraSharp 27 Monitor (U2724D).

This groundbreaking industry standard for eye comfort has been developed by TUV Rheinland®, a globally renowned professional and independent testing service provider. Dell stands as the pioneer in bringing monitors to the market with the esteemed 5-star rating certification.

These monitors boast advanced visual comfort features designed to alleviate eye strain, including:

  • A doubling of the refresh rate from current Dell UltraSharp monitors to a swift 120Hz, delivering smoother and crisper motion visuals2.
  • Enhanced ComfortView Plus, resulting in a significant reduction of harmful blue light exposure from the previous generation, now measuring below 35 percent exposure, compared to the previous 50 percent.
  • Integration of an Ambient Light Sensor that discerns ambient lighting conditions, automatically adjusting screen brightness and color tone settings.

These enhancements are particularly significant, as recent studies indicate that a monitor adjusting its brightness based on varying ambient light levels can reduce signs of eye fatigue by 7 to 17 percent3. Another study underscores the benefits of a monitor with a low blue light reduction feature, showing an 8 percent reduction in signs of eye fatigue after 50 minutes of performing a search task4.

Dell has unveiled a range of new video conferencing monitors, featuring enhanced convenience, an improved camera, and advanced multitasking capabilities. These monitors, available in 23.8-inch, 27-inch, and 34-inch sizes, are the first in the world to be certified for both Microsoft Teams and Zoom7. Boasting integrated cameras, speakers, and microphones, these monitors facilitate a clutter-free desk setup.

Designed for various lighting conditions, Dell has incorporated an intelligent 4MP 2K QHD camera with AI auto framing, digital overlap HDR, and video noise reduction support. Security and collaboration are further streamlined with Dell Express Sign-in, which detects user proximity to lock devices or sign in through Windows Hello. To bolster privacy, a built-in mechanical shutter allows manual blocking of the webcam.

With a revamped design placing the camera and speakers prominently at the top, along with these additional features, these monitors promise to elevate the video conferencing experience. For detailed specifications and product images, refer to the press kit.
