Dubai South proudly announces the successful completion of its blockchain integration system in partnership with Dubai Customs, marking a significant milestone as the first free zone in Dubai to achieve this feat.
This integration aligns with Dubai South’s dedication to the overarching goals of the Dubai eCommerce strategy, which aims to position Dubai as the premier logistics hub in the region and attract foreign direct investments in the e-commerce sector.
The incorporation of blockchain technology into the customs declaration system brings remarkable enhancements to e-commerce operations. It automates declaration generation, streamlines order tracking and processing, and ultimately simplifies and optimizes the entire system. The automation processes not only boost efficiency but also introduce a new gate pass stamping method for entry and exit, improving information accessibility.
RHS Logistics, a UAE-based entity with extensive commercial and business expertise in logistics and supply chain solutions, and FirstCry, the UAE’s leading online store for children’s products, have become the pioneering companies in the Logistics District to embrace blockchain technology in their processes. Subsequently, other companies within the Dubai South free zone are actively adopting blockchain technology.

This integration promotes supply chain transparency, authentication, and the fight against counterfeiting of goods.
