Today, etisalat by e unveiled a detailed white paper on the swift advancements in 5G network technology, marking a significant step in the evolution of wireless communication in the UAE.

This document emphasizes the pivotal role of etisalat by e in the nation’s shift towards 5G-Advanced, underscoring its adherence to international standards. It chronicles key milestones of the company, including the introduction of 5G NSA in 2019 and the transition to 5G SA readiness in 2021, illustrating its forward-thinking strategy in embracing cutting-edge technologies.

etisalat by e’s commitment to enhancing connectivity is evident through achievements such as implementing Voice over New Radio (VONR) and network slicing. The company has extended its services to include 5G SA for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and smartphones, striving to offer superior, reliable, and swift connectivity to both individual consumers and business clients.

Khalid Murshed, the Chief Technology and Information Officer at etisalat by e, expressed pride in the release of this white paper, stating, “This publication not only showcases our dedication to technological excellence but also our leadership role in advancing 5G technology in the UAE. It mirrors our eagerness in adopting state-of-the-art technologies and our commitment to being at the forefront of innovation.”

A notable achievement of etisalat by e, as highlighted in the white paper, is the record-setting demonstration of the fastest 5G SA speed reaching 13.2 Gbps at GITEX 2023. This achievement significantly contributes to establishing the UAE as a global frontrunner in mobile speed. The paper further discusses etisalat by e’s strategic endeavors in sustainability, particularly focusing on energy efficiency to manage the expected tenfold increase in network traffic.

Spanning 18 pages, the document also delves into the various services offered by etisalat by e to both individual and corporate clients, showcasing the company’s commitment to evolving alongside global technological standards and preparing for the upcoming stage of connectivity through the deployment of 5G-Advanced, in line with the protocols of the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). 3GPP is an international consortium dedicated to developing standards for mobile telecommunication, including 5G technology.
