Intel has released new findings from a global survey involving 5,050 business and IT decision-makers across 23 countries. The report reveals that Artificial Intelligence-powered PCs (AI PCs) are rapidly gaining traction as businesses aim to accelerate innovation, boost productivity, and improve IT efficiency.

According to the survey, 90% of respondents believe AI PCs will significantly enhance productivity. Nearly half expect these devices to drive notable improvements in daily workflows. Moreover, 92% associate AI PCs with enabling new products, services, and revenue streams, underlining a strong link between AI adoption and business innovation.

Intel reported that 87% of global businesses are either upgrading to AI PCs or planning to do so in their next device refresh cycle. This trend signals a major shift in workplace computing strategies.

However, security concerns remain a challenge. Among non-adopters, 33% cited security as a primary barrier. In contrast, only 23% of current AI PC users reported similar concerns. This difference is attributed to advanced built-in hardware security features that protect data and systems directly on the device.

Intel revealed that AI PCs are capable of processing sensitive workloads locally, minimizing exposure risks. This capability is particularly beneficial for sectors such as healthcare, finance, and legal services.

The survey also highlighted a strong investment appetite for AI PCs:

  • Business leaders are willing to pay up to 25% more for high-performance AI PCs.
  • Early adopters reported a 213% ROI over three years.
  • Companies saw 90% fewer on-site IT visits and 65% less time spent on device management.

Yet, training remains a key challenge. While 95% of respondents agree on the need for ongoing training to maximize ROI, only 42% offer continuous support programs. One-time tool briefings remain common, but experts warn that continuous learning is essential as AI tools evolve.

Intel emphasized that AI PC adoption is not just a tech upgrade but a strategic move. The company is leading the AI PC category and aims to deliver 100 million AI PCs by the end of 2025. Businesses that act quickly stand to benefit from enhanced performance, stronger security, and greater productivity.
