Gartner has released the Magic Quadrant for Container Management 2025 and positioned Huawei Cloud in the quadrant. This recognition was attributed to Huawei Cloud’s expertise and strategic investments in Cloud Native 2.0.

Huawei Cloud announced the launch of several container products including CCE Turbo, CCE Autopilot, Cloud Container Instance (CCI), and the Ubiquitous Cloud Native Service (UCS). These solutions are designed to provide cloud-native infrastructure for managing large-scale containerized workloads across public, distributed, hybrid, and edge environments.

Reports confirmed that Huawei Cloud is competitive in all studied use cases. These include new cloud-native applications, containerization of existing applications, AI containers, edge applications, and hybrid cloud applications. Huawei Cloud was especially recognized for leadership in AI container technology.

The company revealed that it remains a major open-source contributor. Huawei Cloud has been active in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), participating in 82 projects and holding more than 20 project maintainer seats. It is also the only Chinese cloud provider with a vice-chair position on the CNCF Technical Oversight Committee.

Huawei Cloud has donated several projects to CNCF, including KubeEdge, Karmada, Volcano, and Kuasar. In 2024, it contributed benchmark projects such as Kmesh, openGemini, and Sermant.

Industry analysts reported that Huawei Cloud now offers the most comprehensive container product portfolio in the sector, covering public, distributed, hybrid, and edge clouds. The services have been adopted in industries such as internet, finance, manufacturing, transportation, electricity, and automotive.

  • STARZPLAY used Huawei Cloud CCI to transition to serverless architecture, handling millions of requests during the 2024 Cricket World Cup while cutting costs by 20%.
  • Daily Food in Saudi Arabia deployed Huawei Cloud CCE to ensure 99.99%+ business continuity, preventing multimillion SAR losses annually.

In the AI era, Huawei Cloud revealed that Cloud Native 2.0 has been upgraded with intelligence. Its CCE AI clusters now power CloudMatrix384 supernodes with advanced scheduling, auto-scaling, and ultra-fast startups. This improves AI training and inference efficiency.

Huawei Cloud also introduced CCE Doer, an AI-powered container management tool. It provides intelligent recommendations and diagnostics, detecting over 200 critical scenarios with more than 80% accuracy.

The company further announced two serverless container products, CCE Autopilot and CCI, enabling faster application development. New serverless computing solutions such as general-computing-lite and Kunpeng general-computing containers were revealed to enhance cost-effectiveness by up to 40%.

Huawei Cloud reported that it will continue to work with global partners to drive cloud-native innovation, expand container adoption, and support the digital transformation of industries worldwide.
