The announcement was made in the presence of H.E. Eng. Hamad Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Department of Community Development, Abu Dhabi. Officials reported that the contribution underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening community-driven healthcare initiatives.

The funds will be directed toward medical treatment, patient care, and healthcare programs to improve outcomes. This initiative aligns with 2025 as the Year of Community in the UAE, focusing on social bonds, compassion, and collective responsibility.

H.E. Abdulla Hamid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an, revealed that the collaboration reflects a commitment to social cohesion by supporting impactful projects. He added that the initiative will provide critical healthcare services to cancer patients while fostering compassion and giving across the community.

Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du telecom, said the company’s purpose extends beyond connectivity. He stressed that collaboration with Ma’an delivers tangible support to cancer patients and their families, showing how corporate resources can create social change.

Officials confirmed that Ma’an will ensure funds are directed to impactful healthcare programs. du telecom will continue to prioritize health and wellbeing for vulnerable populations, reinforcing its role in community development and corporate responsibility.
