Axis Communications, a global security and surveillance solutions, has announced its collaboration with Moro Hub, Dubai’s premier digital infrastructure provider, in a recent customer success story. The partnership highlights how Moro Hub’s smart and sustainable data centers integrate Axis’s advanced security technologies to support Dubai’s digital transformation goals.

The case study revealed that Axis and Moro Hub use a multi-layered approach to secure operations, leveraging technology and analytics to maximize efficiency.

“Demand for cloud services and digital transformation, driven by IoT and AI, is boosting growth for data centers in the Middle East,” said Ettiene van der Watt, Regional Director at Axis Communications. “Operators must protect facilities with comprehensive security strategies. That is why Axis prioritizes data centers and works closely with customers to align security, technology, and sustainability.”

Axis has partnered with Moro Hub since 2018, supporting its evolving operational needs. Moro Hub, established the same year, offers cutting-edge IT, cybersecurity, and managed services worldwide.

Ayman Al Khizaimi, Director of Data Center & Facility Operations at Moro Hub, explained, “We considered all security vulnerabilities, including physical breaches and unauthorized access. Working with Axis, we upgraded our systems with a multi-layered solution that allows future integrations and optimization.”

To meet these requirements, Axis deployed its Perimeter Defender Solution to reinforce physical access controls. The edge-based system detects and responds automatically to individuals and vehicles entering or exiting the facility. Integrated devices also provide valuable metadata to optimize operations.

The security approach extends from the facility perimeter to individual server rooms. It includes network cameras, road blockers, under-vehicle scanners, key cards, biometric scanners, motion sensors, and modular camera systems. This allows Moro Hub to scale and integrate new technologies while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

“The best security is holistic,” Ayman added. “Axis empowers customers with aftersales support, system updates, and guidance for compliance, enhancing long-term operational efficiency.”

Axis’s collaboration also supports sustainability. Axis Zipstream technology reduces energy consumption by processing video footage on the edge, lowering bandwidth and storage requirements.

“Moro Hub prioritizes reducing its carbon footprint and promoting greener technologies,” Ettiene said. “Our partnership shows how physical security can contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency.”
