The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in cooperation with Dubai Police, announced the launch of the Digital Security Screener Licensing System for security screeners across Dubai airports. The initiative is aligned with national and international standards, reinforcing the commitment to aviation security and competency development.

The launch ceremony was attended by H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of DCAA; H.E. Major General Harib Al Shamsi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; H.E. Obaid Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of Aviation Security and Accident Investigation; and H.E. Ahmad Belqaizi, Executive Director of Aviation Safety and Environment. Also present were H.E. Major General Marwan Julfar, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Port Affairs; Brigadier Hamed Al Hashmi, Acting Director of the General Department of Airport Security; and Brigadier Hamad Bin Dilan, along with senior officials.

Officials revealed that the initiative reflects institutional integration and a strategic partnership between DCAA and Dubai Police. It supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, enhances global confidence in Dubai’s aviation safety and security system, and strengthens the emirate’s status as a global aviation hub.

H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi reported: “The launch of the Digital Security Screener Licensing System for workers in Dubai airports embodies our commitment to security compliance in line with the highest standards. It ensures smart system integration, modern technology adoption, and effective cooperation with Dubai Police. This achievement supports aviation security sustainability and reinforces international confidence in Dubai’s aviation sector.”

For his part, H.E. Major General Harib Al Shamsi announced that maintaining Dubai’s leadership in the aviation sector requires strengthening security frameworks through smart analysis tools, specialized training, and global best practices. He added that innovation in aviation security is vital to adapt to industry changes and present a global benchmark.

During the visit, both entities showcased pioneering security and technological systems serving the aviation sector. The event highlighted their role in building an integrated ecosystem aligned with the Government of Dubai’s vision to enhance safety, security, and resilience.
