The UAE Ministry of Interior has announced a strategic partnership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) to enhance collaboration in MENA project management, scientific research, education, and publishing.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Mr. Hanny Alshazly, Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa region at PMI.

This pioneering step makes the Ministry the first security entity in the MENA region to establish such a partnership with PMI. The agreement aims to adopt global project management standards to improve institutional efficiency and professionalism.

His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili highlighted that the collaboration strengthens the Ministry’s ability to execute projects effectively and efficiently. He emphasized that investing in knowledge and global standards supports the UAE’s leadership and excellence.

Mr. Hanny Alshazly expressed PMI’s pride in this strategic partnership. He revealed that the initiative serves as a model for integrating project management methodologies with security and institutional work, aiming to achieve sustainable impact.
