Mastercard has announced a collaboration with HyperPay, a payment gateway in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), to accelerate SME payment digital transformation in Saudi commercial payments.

The partnership will focus on modernizing business payments across the region. Both companies plan to issue commercial cards in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.

The initiative aims to provide businesses with secure, scalable, and future-ready commercial card solutions. These offerings are designed to drive growth and support the evolving digital economy.

Leveraging Mastercard’s global reach and innovative technology, the collaboration will help merchants and SMEs streamline expense management and improve operational efficiency. HyperPay recently received approval for its Electronic Money Institute (EMI) license to digitize SME payments.

The new commercial cards will first launch in Saudi Arabia and will soon expand to the UAE and Qatar, helping SMEs achieve greater resiliency and long-term prosperity.
