His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the launch of “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” campaign. The initiative aims to strengthen the UAE as a global hub for UAE startups, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

The campaign will provide comprehensive support to Emirati youth. It will leverage the UAE’s economic environment through initiatives, platforms, and programmes designed to foster innovation, accelerate growth, and diversify the national economy.

Supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, in collaboration with the UAE Government Media Office and the UAE Entrepreneurship Council, the campaign brings together over 50 incubators and accelerators. Strategic partners from both public and private sectors, national institutions, and academic entities will create an inclusive environment to nurture entrepreneurial talent.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid revealed that the campaign will train 10,000 Emirati entrepreneurs, generate thousands of economic opportunities, and raise community awareness on leveraging the UAE’s economic momentum.

He added that small and medium-sized enterprises contribute over 63% of the non-oil GDP. The UAE ranks high among 56 global economies in supporting SMEs and providing an optimal growth environment.

The StartupEmirates.ae Digital Platform, in partnership with the New Economy Academy, will connect youth with startups. It will offer mentorship programmes, shared workspaces, networking events, and cross-border partnerships. The platform aims to attract 10,000 entrepreneurs and create 30,000 jobs by 2030.
