The UAE’s Chief AI Officers have concluded the region’s first knowledge programme of its kind, featuring visits to 13 leading technology companies in the United States.

The programme included over 20 interactive technology experiences. It offered insights into digital innovations, encouraged global collaboration, and supported national strategies for digital transformation and artificial intelligence. The initiative reinforced the UAE’s role as a global technology hub.

The UAE government delegation was led by Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services of the UAE Government, and included Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government.

The knowledge tour, organised by the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office in collaboration with the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, featured meetings with top executives and experts from major global technology companies.

The delegation met leaders from companies including Google, Meta, OpenAI, Palantir, NVIDIA, IBM, Amazon, Microsoft, the US–UAE Business Council, and Cohere. The initiative aimed to empower Chief AI Officers by providing access to the latest innovations and fostering knowledge exchange in artificial intelligence.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, reaffirmed that the UAE is committed to maintaining its global leadership in the digital landscape. He stated that the nation continues to invest in partnerships and innovations that support national AI and digital transformation strategies.

Mohammed bin Taliah highlighted that the programme strengthened collaboration with global technology firms and promoted best practices to enhance government services. He added that the visit allowed Chief AI Officers to explore pioneering AI developments and solutions that could enhance competitiveness and innovation within government operations.

During the tour:
• Meta presented advancements in augmented reality and the LLaMA platform.
• Google showcased its AI-driven tools such as AgentSpace, Gemini, and Google Cloud’s sustainability features.
• Palantir discussed data-driven partnerships and AI investment strategies.
• OpenAI presented a tailored Emirati experience with ChatGPT.
• NVIDIA demonstrated technologies like NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Gr00t, and Blackwell architecture.
• IBM shared insights on responsible and sovereign AI.
• Amazon highlighted generative AI innovations and automation tools.
• Microsoft introduced AI-powered platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Copilot, and Microsoft 365.

The Chief AI Officers were appointed following the Cabinet’s approval, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to establish the position across ministries and federal entities. Selection focused on candidates capable of applying advanced AI solutions to improve government operations.

The initiative supports the UAE Vision 2031 and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, which aim to position the country as a global leader in AI and digital technologies.
