Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) has announced the completion of preparations for the Government of Sharjah’s participation in GITEX Global 2025. The event will take place from 13 to 17 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

This year, Sharjah will showcase its innovations through a unified pavilion that brings together 20 government entities. The pavilion will highlight 14 pioneering digital projects under the theme “Powered by Tech, Driven by People.” The participation aims to reinforce Sharjah’s global position as a hub for digital excellence and innovation.

The announcement followed the Preparatory Forum for the Government of Sharjah Pavilion at GITEX Global, organized by SDD. The forum was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, and Eng. Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, along with representatives from participating government entities.

The forum aimed to unify efforts, strengthen collaboration, and ensure a cohesive representation at the global technology exhibition. Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi affirmed that Sharjah’s participation will be “exceptional” and will deliver meaningful impact. He noted that the vision took shape after H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, approved the Sharjah Digital Integration Programme and its implementation plan.

He emphasized that the Sharjah Pavilion will reflect the emirate’s progress in advancing digital transformation to better serve people. The Director General stated that this year’s theme reflects Sharjah’s commitment to the leadership’s vision of positioning the emirate as a global hub for innovation and digital integration.

He added that the showcased services highlight Sharjah’s ongoing dedication to innovation and sustainable development, aligning with the UAE’s national strategies. The participation also aims to strengthen local and international partnerships that reinforce Sharjah’s standing on the global innovation map.

Sharjah’s participation in GITEX Global 2025 will focus on digital transformation success stories and the adoption of artificial intelligence. These efforts aim to enhance service quality and community well-being through people-centric innovation.

The pavilion will offer visitors an interactive experience through digital showcases and real-life success stories presented under four ecosystems:
• Digital Experiences
• Environmental Sustainability
• Smart Cities
• Our Humanity

Each ecosystem will illustrate how technology supports sustainability, quality of life, and community progress.

This participation, held in partnership with e& as the Gold Sponsor, underscores the importance of public–private collaboration in driving innovation and digital excellence.

The forum also discussed media coordination plans, unified messaging, and pavilion design. It reviewed exhibitor and visitor registration, official communication channels, and media coverage guidelines.

Participants reviewed requirements and collaboration mechanisms to ensure a unified presence that showcases Sharjah’s achievements in digital innovation.

The forum concluded by reaffirming Sharjah’s commitment to participating in GITEX Global, one of the world’s largest technology and AI exhibitions. The event continues to serve as a strategic platform for expanding opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and shaping a people-centred digital future.
