DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), a Fortune 500 global technology services provider, has announced new global research titled The Trust Report: From Risk Management to Strategic Resilience in Cybersecurity, conducted in partnership with Microsoft.

The report revealed that Zero Trust has become an essential and widely adopted framework. However, organizations are still in the early stages of using AI security tools such as authentication, which is adopted by only 30%. This indicates untapped potential to strengthen cybersecurity.

DXC and Microsoft commissioned global research that included interviews with over one hundred cybersecurity experts across four continents. The findings reported that security threats are rising rapidly, with AI enabling attackers to outsmart defenses and exploit weaknesses.

In this environment, the Zero Trust model is no longer just a best practice, it has become vital for safeguarding organizations against evolving cyber threats. According to the report, 83% of surveyed organizations adopting Zero Trust have reduced security incidents, lowering remediation and support costs.

However, despite growing AI-driven threats, only 30% of respondents use AI authentication tools to improve their cybersecurity posture. This gap highlights the value of Zero Trust and the potential of AI to offer more adaptive protection.

“Zero Trust is increasingly viewed as the standard going forward,” said Dawn-Marie Vaughan, Global Offering Lead Cybersecurity, DXC. “As AI-driven threats accelerate, organizations must evaluate security holistically across identity, devices, networks, applications, and data. At DXC, we help customers embed Zero Trust into their culture and technology to safeguard operations.”

Key findings from the report include:
• 66% of organizations cite legacy systems as their biggest challenge in adopting Zero Trust.
• 72% of enterprises say new threats drive continuous Zero Trust improvements.
• Over 50% discovered that Zero Trust enhances both security and user experience.

Alex Simons, CVP of Microsoft Entra, said, “Most enterprises already rely on Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 as the backbone of their IT environments. Building Zero Trust solutions alongside DXC extends that value, enabling tighter integration, simplified operations, and greater visibility and control.”

The report emphasized that Zero Trust is not a one-time project but an ongoing journey. It requires cultural change, continuous monitoring, and collaboration with trusted partners. DXC’s experts recommend a phased approach, starting with identity, to integrate and scale Zero Trust architectures effectively.
