At GITEX Global 2025, Inception, a G42 company, drew attention with its suite of agentic AI-native products designed to redefine enterprise operations. TECHx Media spoke with Sharif Berdi, Senior Director of Data & AI Engineering at Inception, to understand how the company is turning years of AI research into commercial solutions that are reshaping business workflows and accelerating intelligent automation across industries.

“Inception used to be a research institute under G42,” Sharif explained. “About a year and a half ago, the group decided to transition us into a commercial organization, focused on AI-native products. Our research in NLP, computer vision, and large language models over the past several years is now being applied in real enterprise solutions.”

When asked how Inception adds value to enterprises, Sharif highlighted their agentic AI approach. “We focus on building intelligent agents that can automate workflows, analyze data, and provide actionable insights across corporate functions, HR, procurement, IT, and more. Essentially, our products sit on top of existing enterprise systems, providing disruption through automation and intelligent insights.”

One example is Insights, a product that acts like a virtual executive assistant. “For board meetings, executives can rely on these agents to act as observers, synthesize data, and generate reports automatically. The AI can even provide voice summaries,” Sharif said. “The idea is that the agent does the heavy lifting, and the user can focus on decision-making.”

Sharif was candid about the challenges of introducing such solutions. “The adoption curve is steep because we are disrupting the way enterprises consume applications and information. Speed and production readiness are critical to ensure we are able to drive real-impactful results.”

But the opportunities are just as compelling. “By leveraging agentic AI, processes that traditionally took days or weeks can now be completed in hours or even minutes. Industries like media, finance, energy, and procurement can gain insights and take actions faster than ever before,” he explained.

Looking ahead, Inception plans to enhance the intelligence and autonomy of its agentic AI systems, enabling multi-agent workflows where agents not only provide information but also take actions, sending emails, submitting forms, or executing enterprise tasks automatically.

When asked what makes Inception unique, Sharif emphasized the company’s people. “We were a deep research institute long before GPT became mainstream. Our team’s expertise in transforming architectures, LLMs, and AI research allows us to rapidly build enterprise-ready products. That combination of research depth and practical application is rare in the market.”

Beyond technology, Inception invests in developing local talent. Their Qudratech program is an Emirati AI upskilling initiative that has trained around 200 Emiratis, primarily from Al Ain. Participants contribute to AI training, data collection, benchmarking, and quality assurance, helping the company scale while fostering the next generation of AI professionals.

At GITEX Global 2025, Inception showcased AI-native products that are transforming how enterprises operate, combining research excellence, practical applications, and local talent development to deliver intelligent solutions that can redefine the future of work.
