Informatica has announced three new innovations with Microsoft. The update was revealed at Microsoft Ignite 2025. The company reported that the enhancements strengthen the integration between Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud and Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft’s enterprise-grade agentic AI Solutions.

Enterprises are rapidly adopting agentic AI solutions. Therefore, the collaboration aims to help customers build and deploy AI agents using governed, high-quality data. The companies said this approach will support large-scale AI adoption while maintaining trust and compliance.

Krish Vitaldevara, Chief Product Officer at Informatica, said the integration brings the best of Microsoft Foundry and enterprise data management together. He added that combining the CLAIRE AI engine and IDMC services with Foundry enables customers to build AI agents with confidence, compliance and speed.

Informatica announced new capabilities during Ignite 2025.
• The new MCP Server for Foundry Agent Service connects AI agents to trusted data via the Model Context Protocol.
• New GenAI recipes and agentic blueprints help accelerate enterprise AI development.

The company also revealed an expansion of its CLAIRE AI engine. It now integrates with Foundry to deliver advanced reasoning across data integration, quality, governance and Master Data Management. CLAIRE is now available in Microsoft Azure regions in the U.S. and Europe.

Informatica further announced expanded interoperability for analytics. The platform now supports reading and writing Microsoft OneLake tables backed by Apache Iceberg. This move aims to unify and secure enterprise data estates while supporting open data ecosystems.

Amanda Silver, CVP Apps and Agents at Microsoft, reported that enterprises are adopting agentic AI at a fast pace. She said trusted and governed data is essential for accurate and responsible outcomes, and the deeper integration with Informatica provides customers with the data needed to bring AI to life in production.
