H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, announced that he received a Meta delegation at the Government Departments Complex in Ajman to discuss cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy in support of Ajman Vision 2030.

The delegation included Fares Akkad, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at Meta, Mariam Obaid Al Mheiri, Public Policy Manager at Meta, and Ahmad Shehada, Head of Government, Politics and Nonprofits for the Middle East and North Africa at Meta.

Sheikh Ammar welcomed the Meta delegation and praised the company’s role as a global technology leader. He reported that Ajman aims to build strategic partnerships with major tech companies to strengthen its digital and economic landscape. He also revealed that the emirate seeks to enhance its position as an attractive destination for innovation and investment.

He stressed the importance of leveraging Meta’s capabilities to support Ajman’s business environment. He added that the emirate is working to develop an integrated digital ecosystem that will help it become a competitive platform for startups and emerging tech ventures.

Sheikh Ammar affirmed that the Government of Ajman remains committed to strengthening its readiness for the future. He said the emirate aims to solidify its status as a smart city capable of using technology to serve society and drive growth.

The meeting also reviewed Meta’s global best practices in building the digital identity of cities and governments. This approach highlights cultural and heritage elements while showcasing investment opportunities to regional and international audiences through modern communication platforms.
