H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, today visited Dubai Health headquarters. The visit was reported as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare innovation and digital transformation in the emirate.

He was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE. Also present were H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Health Board of Directors, and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Board.

During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed Dubai Health’s projects and initiatives. These efforts bring together care, learning, discovery, and giving within an integrated academic health system. The initiatives aim to advance health for humanity through science, innovation, and technology-driven care.

Sheikh Hamdan announced that healthcare remains central to Dubai’s community prosperity. He noted that Dubai Health reflects the emirate’s commitment to Dubai Social Agenda 33. The system focuses on delivering high-quality preventive and treatment programmes that meet international standards.

He also praised the Dubai Health team for their dedication to patients and families. Furthermore, he revealed the ambition for Dubai Health to become the world’s leading academic health system.

In addition, Sheikh Hamdan visited the Health Operations Centre. There, he reviewed the latest community-based and digital healthcare programmes, including the Reaya Initiative. The initiative provides healthcare services to senior citizens and people of determination.

He was also briefed on the Patient Journey Redesign Programme, which aims to improve access to healthcare services. The programme focuses on ensuring high-quality care while expanding home-based and telemedicine services.

Key initiatives highlighted during the visit included:
