Chinese smartphone maker Realme announced on Wednesday that it will be integrated into Oppo as a sub brand, Reuters reported. The move aims to pool resources and reduce costs across both companies.

Realme and Oppo share the same parent company, BBK Electronics. The Chinese consumer hardware giant also owns Vivo, making it one of the largest smartphone groups globally.

Meanwhile, Realme smartphones continue to be sold across key international markets, including India, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The company has built a strong presence in these regions through competitively priced devices and online focused sales strategies.

At the same time, Oppo remains a major player in the global smartphone market, with a broad portfolio spanning mid range and premium devices. By integrating Realme as a sub brand, Oppo is expected to strengthen its overall ecosystem.
