Huawei Saudi Arabia has inaugurated its first ICT Equipment Delivery Training Centre, reinforcing its commitment to develop local talent and upskill the workforce in support of the Kingdom’s digital transformation agenda. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA).

The centre aims to enhance Huawei’s engineering services across the Kingdom by providing advanced, hands-on technical training for employees and partners. Courses will cover core network and infrastructure domains, including Telecommunications Engineering (TE), In-Building Solutions (IBS), Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), and Civil Work (CW).

Designed as a “Hub for Technical Excellence”, the facility will train more than 600 professional teams annually once fully operational. It will strengthen Huawei’s engineering capabilities at scale and ensure high delivery standards across more than 20,000 sites managed by Huawei in Saudi Arabia each year.

Eng. Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Partnerships & Capabilities Building Vice President of LCGPA, said the centre is a significant step toward developing a robust digital ecosystem in the Kingdom. He noted that partnering with global technology leaders like Huawei helps localize technical expertise while equipping the national workforce with hands-on skills essential for the digital economy.

Liam Zhao, Chairman of Huawei Saudi Arabia, added that the centre reflects Huawei’s commitment to being “In Saudi, For Saudi”. He emphasized that investing in local talent and advanced training strengthens the Kingdom’s knowledge economy and supports its future infrastructure goals in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The facility also bridges academic learning and practical engineering readiness for young Saudi talent. Huawei experts will provide simulated real-life scenarios, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on training. This approach supports Huawei’s large-scale operations in the Kingdom while improving site delivery quality, operational consistency, and overall engineering excellence.

By strengthening national capabilities and localizing expertise, Huawei Saudi Arabia continues to support the development of ICT talent in the Kingdom. This initiative contributes directly to Saudi Arabia’s vision for a competitive, sustainable, and future-ready digital economy.
