Genetec Inc. has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Etimad Holding, part of EDGE Group, to strengthen unified physical security capabilities in the UAE. The Genetec Etimad agreement was formally signed by Firas Jadalla, Regional Director, META at Genetec, and Saeed Juma Al Marashda, CEO at Etimad.

The partnership marks an important step in supporting public and private sector organizations across the UAE as they modernize security operations. As a result, the collaboration aims to improve situational awareness and enhance the protection of people, assets, and critical infrastructure. By combining Genetec’s unified security platform with Etimad’s local expertise, the companies plan to accelerate the adoption of innovative, standards-based security technologies.

Under the MoU, the two organizations have agreed to collaborate on delivering comprehensive physical security solutions. In addition, they will jointly explore strategic opportunities to help UAE organizations transition from siloed systems to unified, data-driven security operations.

According to Genetec, the collaboration is intended to support organizations moving away from fragmented legacy systems toward modern platforms. Consequently, these platforms are expected to strengthen resilience, improve situational awareness, and align with the UAE’s long-term digital and security objectives.

The partnership is also reported to support national security and resilience priorities while encouraging innovation. By enabling connected and secure solutions beyond traditional security use cases, UAE customers are expected to make better-informed decisions, respond faster to incidents, and gain greater value from their security investments.

Etimad stated that the agreement reflects its commitment to advancing national security and critical infrastructure protection through reliable technology and strong local partnerships. Working with Genetec is expected to help deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions to government and private sector customers, while supporting the UAE’s broader vision for safety, security, and sustainable economic growth.
