The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority has issued a UAE Pass fraud advisory amid Iranian strikes.

The authority warned users to remain vigilant while using UAE Pass and other digital identity services. It stressed that official entities will never ask individuals to log in to their accounts or share confidential information.

Users have been urged not to share any personal data. They must also not disclose any codes requested by the UAE Pass application. Authorities reiterated that such information is private and should not be shared with anyone under any circumstances.

In addition, the regulator cautioned that fraudsters may attempt to deceive victims into requesting SIM replacement services. Scammers could also try to issue new SIM cards in the victim’s name. In some cases, they may push individuals to carry out procedures that require facial verification through biometric authentication services.

Similarly, the authority issued an important notice regarding the use of digital identity applications. It clarified again that official authorities do not ask users to log in to their accounts or share confidential information.

Residents were warned not to share personal data or any code requested by the Digital Identity App with anyone. The advisory also highlighted attempts by scammers to convince victims to replace lost SIM cards, extract phone SIM cards, or complete processes requiring facial ID verification through biometric based services.

Therefore, users have been urged to stay alert and protect their digital credentials at all times. The regulator concluded by reminding the public to remain cautious and safeguard their accounts in line with the UAE Pass fraud advisory.
