XREAL has introduced two new augmented reality glasses, the XREAL 1S and the ROG XREAL R1 AR Gaming Glasses. The launch expands its portfolio across mainstream and high-performance gaming segments. The focus keyword AR gaming glasses appears across the company’s latest product direction.

The XREAL 1S builds on its predecessor with meaningful performance upgrades. In addition, it comes at a more accessible price point of USD $449. It is designed for everyday productivity and entertainment. Moreover, it reflects XREAL’s approach to lightweight spatial computing. The device projects a large virtual display that mirrors smartphones, tablets, and laptops. It also features integrated audio powered by Bose.

Meanwhile, XREAL also previewed the ROG XREAL R1 AR Gaming Glasses. It is developed in collaboration with ROG. The company claims it is the world’s first AR gaming glasses with a 240Hz refresh rate. As a result, it sets a new benchmark for smooth visuals in wearable displays. The ROG XREAL R1 is expected to launch later this year.

Furthermore, the ROG XREAL R1 targets immersive gaming and high-performance use cases. It delivers a virtual screen experience equivalent to a 171-inch display viewed from around four meters. This is enabled by a 57-degree field of view. The high refresh rate improves motion clarity. Therefore, it is suitable for fast-paced gaming, cinematic viewing, and extended sessions.

Unlike more portable models, the ROG XREAL R1 also supports an included ROG Control Dock. This enables switching between PCs, consoles, and handheld gaming devices. However, direct USB-C connectivity remains available for mobile use. The dock adds flexibility for multi-device setups.

In addition, audio is handled by an integrated Sound by Bose system. It is optimized for the lightweight design of the glasses. Consequently, it delivers immersive sound without external headphones. Electrochromic lenses are also included, allowing users to adjust light transmission based on environment conditions.

Key specifications of the ROG XREAL R1 include a 240Hz Full HD micro-OLED display with 1920 × 1080 resolution. It offers a 171-inch virtual display size at approximately four meters. It features a 57-degree field of view and weighs 91 grams. It also includes Sound by Bose audio, electrochromic lenses, and a ROG Control Dock. Connectivity supports PC, consoles, handhelds, Android, and iOS devices via USB-C.

Additionally, XREAL continues to strengthen its position in spatial computing through advanced display processing. Its real-time 2D-to-3D conversion technology transforms standard content into immersive three-dimensional visuals. This enhances depth perception without requiring native 3D sources.

In conclusion, with the XREAL 1S and the ROG XREAL R1, AR gaming glasses remain a central focus in XREAL’s strategy, covering both productivity-driven users and performance-focused gaming audiences.
