COMPUTEX 2026 concluded on a high note, reaffirming Taiwan’s position at the center of the global AI industry. Under the theme “AI Together,” the world’s leading AI, computing, robotics, and technology companies gathered in Taipei to showcase innovations, forge partnerships, and explore the next phase of AI-driven transformation.

The exhibition attracted 111,312 buyers and visitors from 152 countries and regions, making it one of the most internationally attended editions in recent years.

Visitors arrived from key markets including Japan, the United States, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Thailand, and Malaysia.

As a result, COMPUTEX once again demonstrated its importance as a global platform for AI industry collaboration, technology demonstrations, and business matchmaking.

Physical AI Takes Center Stage

One of the biggest themes at COMPUTEX 2026 was the emergence of Physical AI.

AI is rapidly moving beyond virtual environments and into the physical world. According to research by Strategy&, the Physical AI market is expected to reach approximately €430 billion by 2030.

Moreover, large-scale commercialization is expected within the next three to five years. Industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and aerospace are expected to benefit significantly.

In response to this trend, COMPUTEX 2026 introduced an AI Robotics Zone for the first time.

Located in Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center, the zone showcased AI robots, Embodied AI technologies, and intelligent automation solutions from across the supply chain.

The exhibition highlighted technologies ranging from research and development to real-world industrial deployment.

Visitors were able to experience AI-powered robots through interactive demonstrations, making the zone one of the most popular attractions of the event.

In addition, COMPUTEX introduced a new Electronic Paper Industry Zone and Technology Application & Experience Hall.

Together, the new sections attracted more than 180 exhibitors, further expanding the exhibition’s focus on practical AI applications.

Global Tech Leaders Share the AI Roadmap

COMPUTEX 2026 brought together some of the most influential voices in the technology industry.

The keynote program opened with Cristiano R. Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm.

He was followed by Matt Murphy, Chairman and CEO of Marvell Technology, Lip-Bu Tan of Intel, and Rafael Sotomayor of NXP Semiconductors.

The speakers focused on major industry themes including AI computing, edge computing, next-generation mobile platforms, and smart mobility.

Collectively, the four keynote sessions attracted more than 6,000 attendees, reflecting strong industry interest in the future of AI.

Meanwhile, the COMPUTEX Forum brought together 28 industry leaders and technology experts.

The discussions covered six major themes, including AI computing, robotics, and data governance.

More than 13,200 participants attended the forum.

Topics ranged from AI infrastructure and computing platforms to industrial deployment strategies and governance frameworks.

Importantly, discussions focused on helping organizations prepare for large-scale AI implementation and commercialization.

InnoVEX Reaches a New Milestone

Startup innovation remained a major highlight of COMPUTEX 2026.

InnoVEX, Asia’s leading startup platform, achieved its largest scale ever.

More than 500 startups participated, representing growth of over 11% compared with last year.

Startups from 23 countries and regions joined the event.

Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea emerged as the three largest participating markets.

Notably, Plug and Play Taiwan, one of the world’s largest innovation platforms and accelerators, participated alongside Japanese startup exhibition organization Everidge for the first time.

This strengthened international innovation collaboration and created new opportunities for market expansion.

Additionally, nine national pavilions showcased advanced technologies in AI, robotics, and smart mobility.

Participating countries included France, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Israel, Canada, Italy, and the Czech Republic.

The InnoVEX Forum featured speakers from France, Japan, and the United States.

Discussions focused on practical AI deployment, infrastructure roadmaps, open-source business models, workflow transformation, and data strategy.

The annual InnoVEX Pitch Contest also continued to support startups through funding opportunities, computing resources, and industry certifications.

This full-cycle support platform connected startups with global investors and venture capital firms.

Ultimately, RLWRLD secured the grand prize.

Sustainability Remains a Priority

Alongside innovation, sustainability remained a key focus at COMPUTEX 2026.

The organizers continued promoting the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R).

Exhibitors worked together to create a low-carbon, low-energy, and environmentally responsible exhibition environment.

This year, the Sustainable Design Awards introduced separate categories for larger exhibitors and emerging brands.

The move encouraged broader participation in sustainable innovation and green exhibition practices.

In the end, ASUS and Transcend Information received Gold Awards in their respective categories.

Technology Meets Lifestyle

Beyond business and technology, COMPUTEX 2026 continued to blur the line between innovation and everyday life.

The event partnered with China Airlines and GQ Taiwan to create the COMPUTEX Service Lounge.

The space combined business networking, lifestyle experiences, and elements of Taiwanese culture.

Meanwhile, Red Bull and Sleepy Tofu created interactive relaxation zones to enhance the visitor experience.

The exhibition also collaborated with generative artist A-Luan to create a large-scale interactive art installation at the entrance of Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1.

Visitors could generate unique digital artworks on a six-meter-high LED structure, creating an engaging blend of technology, creativity, and participation.

Looking Ahead to COMPUTEX 2027

As the exhibition concluded, organizers announced that COMPUTEX 2027 will take place from June 1 to June 4, 2027, at Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2 and Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1.

The event will continue to advance the “AI Together” vision while bringing global technology leaders, innovators, and industry stakeholders together.

With Physical AI gaining momentum, robotics becoming mainstream, and AI commercialization accelerating across industries, COMPUTEX 2026 has set the stage for the next era of intelligent technology and reinforced its position as one of the world’s most influential technology exhibitions.
