Meta has launched the Facebook Marketplace Seller app, a dedicated application designed for people who sell frequently on Facebook Marketplace. The new app brings together AI powered listing creation, inventory management, a unified inbox, performance insights, and other selling tools in one place. It is now available on the App Store for users in the United States who are 18 years and older.

The Facebook Marketplace Seller app is built specifically for people who rely on Marketplace to run and grow their selling business. According to Meta, the app provides a dedicated space where sellers can manage listings, connect with buyers, and monitor their business more efficiently.

This launch also coincides with Facebook Marketplace’s tenth anniversary. What started as buying and selling through Facebook Groups has grown into a global marketplace where around 430 million items are listed every month. For many users, Marketplace has evolved into a source of additional income, a side business, or a full time business.

The Seller app automatically syncs with Facebook Marketplace. Existing listings, buyer messages, and selling history are transferred into the app. Likewise, any new listings created through the app are automatically published on Facebook Marketplace, allowing sellers to continue reaching buyers through the existing platform.

Users can still create and manage listings directly from Facebook. However, Meta says the new app is intended for sellers looking for a dedicated workspace with additional business management capabilities.

One of the key features is the Seller home screen, which highlights tasks requiring immediate attention. This includes items waiting to be shipped, buyers needing responses, listings that may require repricing, and a summary of overall sales performance.

The app also introduces AI powered listing creation using Meta AI. Sellers simply upload product photos, after which Meta AI automatically generates listing details such as the title, description, suggested price, and product category. In addition, a bulk listing feature allows users to create multiple listings simultaneously, helping save time.

The Facebook Marketplace Seller app also provides centralized listing management. Sellers can view, edit, relist, and manage their entire inventory from a single interface.

Another feature is the unified seller inbox, which organizes buyer conversations by individual listing. This enables sellers to track every message related to a specific product without switching between multiple conversations.

To help sellers make informed decisions, the app includes performance insights. Users can monitor metrics such as listing views, clicks, buyer message threads, and completed sales. These insights are designed to help sellers price products more competitively and optimize their inventory.

The Seller app is currently available on the App Store for eligible users in the United States. Meta also confirmed that a web experience will be available for users who download the app, while Android testing is already underway. The company said it plans to continue improving the Facebook Marketplace Seller app based on feedback from its seller community.
