Abu Dhabi AI cooperation took center stage on Wednesday as His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, met with Dr Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, according to Abu Dhabi Media Office.

The meeting brought together Sheikh Khaled and Dr Su, whose company is a leading name in artificial intelligence solutions and semiconductor technology. Consequently, the discussion focused on strengthening ties between Abu Dhabi and one of the world’s top chipmakers.

During the talks, both sides explored possible avenues for collaboration in artificial intelligence, Abu Dhabi Media Office reported. In addition, they discussed the development of technical capabilities and solutions across high-performance computing, cloud computing and data centre infrastructure. These areas remain central to Abu Dhabi’s broader AI ambitions.

Furthermore, the meeting was attended by senior Emirati officials. His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, was present. Also in attendance was His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince.

Overall, as reported by Abu Dhabi Media Office, the meeting reflects the emirate’s continued efforts to expand its footprint in emerging technologies. As global competition in AI intensifies, Abu Dhabi AI initiatives are expected to play a growing role in shaping the region’s digital and technological future.
