Cybersecurity training will be a key focus as SANS Institute participates in GISEC Global 2026 from September 16–18 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), Expo City Dubai.

The company will deliver certified training and three technical workshops covering AI security, ICS/OT and cybersecurity leadership. The programs aim to support UAE cyber readiness and address evolving security skills requirements.

Meanwhile, the initiative is supported by the UAE Cybersecurity Council and CyberE71. The collaboration builds on an MoU signed between SANS Institute and the UAE Cybersecurity Council in December 2025 to expand access to advanced training and globally recognized certifications.

In addition, CyberE71 will connect the program with cybersecurity startups, entrepreneurs, university talent and the wider innovation community.

According to Ned Baltagi, Managing Director, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at SANS Institute, building cyber resilience requires practical capabilities that address current threats, including AI security, critical infrastructure, third-party risk and security decision-making.

The program also includes the Gulf Edition of the AI Security Maturity Model, an AI Cybersecurity Career Guide, new GIAC certifications, and quantum readiness training.

The certified sessions will cover ICS/OT security, executive cybersecurity strategy and secure AI for cybersecurity operations. In addition, technical workshops will address third-party and industrial risk, cloud security and container security.

SANS experts Paul Piotrowski, Jan D’Herdt and Moses Frost will lead the sessions, with the team available at Stand D80, Hall 4 throughout the event.

Cybersecurity training at GISEC 2026 will therefore focus on practical skills, emerging threats and stronger capabilities across AI and critical infrastructure security.
