HONOR has opened pre-orders for the HONOR X9e Pro, the first Pro model in the HONOR X Series. The company describes HONOR as a global AI device ecosystem company.

The phone brings upgrades in durability, battery life, display performance and imaging. It also adds AI features for everyday use. HONOR says the device is built for users with active lifestyles.

Burj Khalifa Lighting Marks the Launch

To mark the announcement, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa will be illuminated with the HONOR X9e Pro. The display puts the focus on the phone’s battery capacity. It places what HONOR calls the largest battery in a smartphone next to the world’s tallest building.

The lighting also marks HONOR’s return to the Burj Khalifa after five years. The brand last used the landmark in 2021 to showcase the HONOR Magic3.

Durability Upgrades

Durability remains central to the X Series. The device is engineered to withstand drops from up to 3 metres. It uses a new 360-degree shock-absorbing architecture to help limit impact damage across different angles and surfaces.

The phone has earned the SGS Premium Performance 5-Star Drop Resistance Certification. It also has IP69K water resistance, including tested immersion scenarios of up to 10 metres. In addition, it is designed to withstand hot-water splashes of up to 85°C.

11,000mAh Battery and Charging

The HONOR X9e Pro runs on an 11,000mAh battery. HONOR calls it the industry’s largest. The company says it can deliver up to three days of use under a defined mixed-usage scenario.

The phone supports 80W HONOR SuperCharge. It also offers 27W wired reverse charging for compatible devices and accessories. Intelligent power management is designed to support users who spend long periods away from a charger.

HONOR also highlights long-term battery durability. The device is designed to maintain strong battery performance for up to 6 years. The company notes that this level of longevity is uncommon in the smartphone market.

Display Built for Bright and Dark Settings

The phone has a 6.8-inch 1.5K display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Peak brightness reaches up to 10,000 nits. HONOR describes this as one of the brightest displays in the industry.

The screen also includes a hardware-level 1-nit ultra-dark mode. Together, these features aim to keep the display visible and comfortable in both bright outdoor settings and low light. HONOR’s eye-comfort technologies and touch recognition for wet hands and gloves add to everyday usability.

Imaging and AI Features

The HONOR X9e Pro has a 108MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera. CIPA 6.0-level stabilisation combines OIS and EIS to help users get clearer results on the move. Intelligent underwater colour correction improves image quality when shooting underwater.

The phone also adds several AI features:

  • AI FreeGrip for easier one-handed use
  • Adaptive left- and right-hand recognition
  • Google Gemini integration
  • Creative Editor 2.0, including AI Image to Video

AI Image to Video turns a still image into a dynamic video. It adds movement to static moments so users can create content directly from their phone.

Colours, Lucky Draw and Pricing

The HONOR X9e Pro comes in Deep Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black.

Buyers can also enter a lucky draw for a chance to win the HONOR Robot Phone. TIME selected the device as one of The Best Inventions of 2026. The recognition covered its approach to smartphone design, AI interaction and mobile photography.

The HONOR Robot Phone pairs a robotics-inspired camera system with AI-powered interaction. Its camera sits on a 360-degree rotating gimbal. The gimbal can move out from the rear of the phone and follow subjects as they move.
