Apple has announced updates to Apple Creator Studio, its collection of creative apps for Mac, iPad and iPhone. The release brings built-in MotionVFX content to Final Cut Pro, video assets to the Content Hub, expanded music creation tools to Logic Pro, and new intelligence features to Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers.

The updates will be available on the App Store this November. They are free for existing subscribers.

Apple Highlights the Value of the Update

Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud, commented on the release.

“This is our most exciting update since the launch of Apple Creator Studio. MotionVFX content in Final Cut Pro gives subscribers rapid access to extensive professional video effects and content, bringing incredible value to the suite,” he said.

He added that Logic Pro’s new Browser lets users explore more sounds as they create music. He also said Pixelmator Pro’s fill capabilities let users reimagine any part of an image. According to him, the assistant capabilities in Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers will change how people interact with and learn to use these apps.

New Video Tools in Final Cut Pro and Motion

Final Cut Pro for Mac now integrates MotionVFX directly into the app. Editors can access thousands of elements. These include templates with unique themes, graphics, titles and transitions. They also include tools for rotoscoping, tracking and color grading.

Editors can also use the Content Hub inside Final Cut Pro. It offers Apple-curated stock videos, photos and backgrounds. These can fill gaps, add polish or spark new ideas without leaving the workflow.

In addition, editors can open any image from their timeline in Pixelmator Pro. Changes save back to the project automatically, so no reimporting is needed. Users can also create images from text descriptions inside their project, apply quick edits and adjust visual styles.

Final Cut Pro also adds more keyframe easing options. Editors can disconnect clips from the primary storyline and place them anywhere on the timeline. The app now supports 23 new transcription languages for captioning and searching footage.

Motion gets a built-in set of MotionVFX plug-ins. They cover cinematic color grading, 3D camera tracking and one-click selection for visual effects. Users can generate and edit images from text descriptions and send images round-trip to Pixelmator Pro. They can also fine-tune keyframe easing, apply a new Displacement filter and explore an interactive demo project.

Meanwhile, Compressor can now encode Cinematic mode video recorded on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.

Generate Fill Arrives in Pixelmator Pro

Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill. The tool edits images based on a user’s description. Creators can circle an area and describe the change they want.

For more precision, they can use existing selection tools. These include Free Selection, Quick Selection and Magnetic Selection.

Generate Fill matches the lighting, perspective and texture of the surrounding environment. Built-in Super Resolution upscales the generated content so it stays sharp at any size. Generated elements can be merged into existing layers or added as new layers with intelligent masking for continued refinement.

Logic Pro Gets an Assistant, New Browser and Stem Splitter Upgrade

Logic Pro for Mac and iPad adds new tools for beat making, songwriting, remixing and production. It also gets a new design featuring Liquid Glass. The design uses translucent surfaces and deeper contrast to highlight waveforms and tracks.

A new intelligent assistant, now in beta, joins Logic Pro for Mac. It is powered by a combination of Apple-built models and OpenAI. It helps creators navigate production workflows, start a new song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt or refine an active project.

The redesigned Browser on Mac centralizes loops, instruments, effect patches and more. It also includes a Splice library. It is powered by music understanding, an on-device audio analysis tool. Logic Pro automatically analyzes, classifies and tags added sounds. Creators can search their whole collection or drag in a loop to surface matching audio.

Stem Splitter can now isolate, replace or rebalance drum parts without the original multitracks.

Users can also unlock a new Producer Pack from Sergio George. He is a 20-time Grammy winner widely known as the King of Modern Salsa. The pack includes his signature piano sound and authentic Latin jazz and salsa loops. It also features a full salsa percussion section, a brass ensemble and basses.

In addition, Voice Memo Studio Sound reduces room ambience and background noise in recordings captured on supported iPhone models. Users can continue fine-tuning in Logic Pro.

AI Assistants Come to Keynote, Pages and Numbers

Keynote, Pages and Numbers receive a new generation of intelligence features in beta. A built-in assistant, built on Apple models and OpenAI, understands document context. This helps users accomplish more without leaving their work.

In Keynote, the assistant helps design, animate and refine slides. In Pages, it drafts, restructures and fine-tunes written content. In Numbers, it calculates, visualizes and organizes data. It also recommends suitable chart types with a one-tap preview and builds custom tables using world knowledge.

New Model Context Protocol (MCP) support lets external AI agents and tools read content, perform edits and run automated actions in the three apps.

More Content, Templates and Formats

The Content Hub in Keynote, Pages and Numbers now includes Apple-curated stock video footage. Subscribers also get new professionally designed templates and themes.

Keynote adds support for Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx). It is an open, JSON-based bundle file format. It is designed to be readable by external tools, developer workflows and AI agents.

Freeform adds text styles for one-step formatting and reuse across boards. It also adds custom and preset board background colors. In December, Freeform will let users edit images directly in Pixelmator Pro and generate editable shapes from text descriptions.
