Berlin is set to host the highly anticipated GITEX Europe, taking place from 21 to 23 May at Messe Berlin. As Europe accelerates its push for digital sovereignty, this event arrives at a pivotal time. The continent is focusing on key areas like AI, quantum computing, cloud, semiconductors, and data storage.

Germany, as Europe’s largest economy, plays a central role in this transformation. Its ICT sector is expected to reach €232.8 billion by 2025. GITEX Europe aligns perfectly with Germany’s growing influence in global tech.

Organized by KAOUN International, the event is held in partnership with major German and EU institutions. These include the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and the European Innovation Council.

Over 1,400 global companies and startups will join the event. Industry giants such as AWS, IBM, Cisco, Dell, Fortinet, and SAP are participating. The event spans over 100 countries and 34 European states, with national pavilions from the UAE, UK, India, South Korea, and others.

Franziska Giffey, Mayor of Berlin, noted the strategic importance of hosting GITEX Europe. She emphasized Berlin’s commitment to becoming a global hub for innovation and investment.

The event will feature over 500 speakers from around the world. Key figures include Geoffrey Hinton, Nobel Laureate and AI pioneer, and Kai Wegner, Mayor of Berlin. Others include leaders from OpenAI, Mozilla, Crunchbase, and Bison Bank.

In AI, Europe is making bold moves. Ai Everything Europe, the event’s flagship showcase, will explore real-world applications and investments. Notable speakers include Martin Kon from Cohere and Daniel Verten from Synthesia. Startups like Ubivis and Hexis will present breakthroughs in industrial AI and sports nutrition.

Quantum tech also takes center stage. Europe has committed nearly €7 billion to this sector. The GITEX Quantum Expo will highlight the latest research, with speakers from CERN, IBM, INRIA, and IQM Quantum Computers.

Cybersecurity remains a top priority. Companies such as Fortinet, CrowdStrike, and Kaspersky will address rising threats. Government leaders and CISOs will also discuss cyber resilience in today’s AI-driven landscape.

In line with sustainability goals, GITEX Green Impact will focus on green tech solutions. Experts from Honeywell, Airbus, Bosch, and TotalEnergies will present innovations in bioenergy, green hydrogen, and clean infrastructure.

GITEX Europe also launches North Star Europe, spotlighting over 750 startups and 20 global unicorns. These include Qonto, Bolt, Glovo, and reMarkable. Startups from across Europe, the UAE, and beyond will showcase cutting-edge technologies.

Investors managing over $1 trillion in assets will be scouting for opportunities. GITEX ScaleX will offer growth support for scale-ups, while GITEX SMEDEX will help SMEs connect with global markets and funding networks.
