Egypt is once again at the center of Africa’s artificial intelligence momentum as Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2026 prepares to bring global technology leaders, policymakers, and startups to Cairo.

The event, announced just four months ago, has already mobilised the international AI ecosystem at unprecedented speed. As a result, it is emerging as one of the region’s most influential technology gatherings ahead of its debut on February 11 and 12, 2026.

Ai Everything MEA Egypt will take place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. It is presented by GITEX and hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency.

Moreover, the event arrives at a defining moment for the continent. Artificial intelligence is projected to contribute more than US$1.5 trillion to Africa’s GDP by 2030, according to a SAP report. Consequently, governments are accelerating investments in cloud services, digital infrastructure, and industrial intelligence.

As a gateway linking Africa, the Levant, and the GCC, Egypt is playing a strategic role in this transformation. In addition, the country is pioneering Arabic-first AI models. It currently ranks first in Africa for Government AI Readiness and third in the Arab region for AI Resilience, according to the Oxford Insights Index.

By convening leaders in AI policy, investment, and deployment, the event is advancing Egypt’s national AI roadmap. It is also attracting international funding, strengthening talent development, and translating strategy into economic value across sectors. Furthermore, it aligns with the Second National AI Strategy and supports the development of sovereign AI capabilities.

More than 350 AI enterprises and startups from over 30 countries are expected to participate. They will showcase large-scale AI deployments across cloud, cybersecurity, data centers, public services, telecoms, healthcare, mobility, fintech, and digital payments.

Participating startups include UK-based Emotii, Germany’s Imensus, and Egypt’s Olimi AI. Olimi AI develops multilingual agents that understand Arabic dialects, including Egyptian, Saudi, and Emirati.

Shaden El Olimi, Chief Commercial Officer of Olimi AI, said rapid iteration and customer-focused innovation are key to success. He added that the event brings together pioneers shaping the future of Arabic voice AI.

In addition, innovators from more than 30 countries will showcase solutions. These include participants from Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, India, Pakistan, and China.

Global councils and institutions are also involved. These include the United Nations Development Programme, the UAE Cybersecurity Council, ESC India, and GITP Southeast Asia. As a result, the event is strengthening cross-border collaboration.

Across sectors, the event will highlight real-world AI use cases. Brightskies will present Egypt’s most advanced locally built autonomous driving platform.
