Biwin has announced the launch of its Amber CB500 CFexpress Type B card, the world’s first to receive VPG800 certification from the CompactFlash Association. The card guarantees sustained write speeds of 800 MB/s, enabling filmmakers and content creators to capture 8K RAW, high frame rate, and uncompressed video reliably.

The Biwin Amber CB500 offers read speeds of up to 3750 MB/s and write speeds up to 3500 MB/s. When paired with the Biwin Amber RB510 card reader, it supports transfer speeds of up to 40Gb/s, streamlining file offloading and accelerating post-production workflows.

The card is optimized for professional workflows, including multi-camera live broadcasting, virtual production on LED stages, and immersive VR/AR systems. Its VPG800 certification ensures consistent performance for demanding high-bitrate video recording.

  • Certified for sustained 800 MB/s write speed for uninterrupted recording.
  • Advanced thermal design and aluminum alloy shell for protection in extreme conditions.
  • Available in capacities from 128GB to 1TB, supporting 4K, 6K, 8K, and 12K RAW workflows.

Biwin reported that the CB500 is designed for reliability under tough conditions, including extreme temperatures, shock, drops, impacts, magnetic interference, and X-rays. This makes it suitable for professional filming in any environment.
