Canon has announced the launch of two new ultra-compact 3-in-1 printers under its Canon PIXMA range. The new models, PIXMA TS6540i and PIXMA TS4140i, are designed to offer speed, convenience, and seamless smartphone connectivity.

At just 374mm wide, both printers are built to fit easily into tight spaces. Canon revealed that the models feature a sleek, minimalist look ideal for home offices and creative setups.

The TS6540i features an OLED screen, while both printers support high-speed printing with up to 14.0 ipm for monochrome and 9.0 ipm for colour. They also deliver a rapid First Print Out Time of approximately 7.5 seconds (mono) and 9.5 seconds (colour). The updated print head includes more nozzles, offering better coverage and print accuracy.

Canon reported that the printers produce sharp, professional-quality prints with pigment black ink for enhanced text definition. They also include a barcode and QR code printing mode, making them suitable for inventory and logistics applications.

Photo enthusiasts can enjoy borderless printing from 5×5-inch squares to A4. The printers can produce a glossy 4×6-inch borderless photo in just 39 seconds. Canon’s dye-based photo system ensures vivid, lifelike prints straight from a smartphone.

Additionally, the printers offer smart wireless features. Users can print and scan via the Canon PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, or Mopria for Android. With built-in cloud connectivity, users can access services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. The TS6540i model includes QR code direct connect for quick setup.

Canon also revealed several user-friendly features:

  • 1.42″ OLED screen for simple control (TS6540i)
  • 1-Touch Copy function for instant copying
  • Front-facing layout for easy paper access

The printers support auto duplex printing and include a 100-sheet front cassette. Canon described the devices as ideal for tasks ranging from schoolwork and photo projects to small office jobs.

With the new PIXMA models, Canon aims to offer a home productivity hub tailored to today’s fast-paced, connected lifestyles.
