Careem Debuts Madinah Tour To Boost Tourism

Careem, a prominent multi-service app in the region, unveiled its “Madinah Tour” service, a new venture in collaboration with the Madinah Development Authority. This launch was announced at a signing event during the ongoing Saudi Tourism Forum 2024 in Riyadh. This initiative is a testament to Careem’s commitment to continually innovate and enhance daily travel experiences, while also supporting local tourism in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The “Madinah Tour” service provides an exclusive journey to 12 significant historical and touristic landmarks in Madinah, including Masjid Nabawi, Masjid Qubaa, Masjid Qiblatayn, the Battle of Uhud site, Battle of Al-Khandaq site, Al-Aqiq Valley, Bir Al-Foqayr, the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, the Al-Hejaz Railway Museum, Al-Madinah Art Center, Dar Al-Madinah Museum, and Bir Al-Ghars.

Wael Ibrahim, the General Manager of Careem Rides in KSA, Egypt & Bahrain, remarked on the launch: “Introducing the ‘Madinah Tour’ service is a reflection of our unwavering dedication to innovate and provide diverse, reliable transport solutions that cater to local demands. Our partnership with the Madinah Development Authority is a proud moment for us, as it supports the tourism sector and affirms our commitment to the Kingdom.”

He also noted, “This service offers a smooth and dependable way for both locals and tourists to discover 12 key historical and touristic spots in Madinah. It not only bolsters local tourism but also creates flexible economic opportunities for Saudi captains, aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.”

The Madinah Development Authority, through this collaboration, aims to enhance the visitor experience in Madinah with unique explorations, and to foster innovative solutions with the private sector for boosting local economic involvement and creating additional economic opportunities.

Customers can access the “Madinah Tour” service through the Careem app, with two options available for booking. The first option is a two-hour tour covering up to 5 historical sites, and the second is a more extensive five-hour tour, encompassing up to 12 sites.
