CASHPLUS, a Moroccan fintech and financial services provider, announced a strategic partnership with PayPal. The collaboration introduces a faster, simpler, and fully digital solution for Moroccan users to withdraw PayPal funds in local currency via the CASHPLUS mobile app.

Through the partnership, PayPal users in Morocco can instantly withdraw their balances in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD) via the CASHPLUS mobile app. This eliminates the need for branch visits, paperwork, or intermediaries.

  • CASHPLUS becomes the only provider in Morocco to offer digital PayPal withdrawals.
  • The feature is designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, creators, and e-commerce sellers.

Otto Williams, Senior Vice President, Regional Head and General Manager for Middle East and Africa at PayPal, said the partnership aligns with PayPal’s vision of making financial services digital-first, inclusive, and seamless. He added that users can now manage local and international finances directly from a single mobile app.

Morocco, with over 18 million internet users and a rapidly growing digital economy, is seeing strong growth in digital payments. Reports project the market to grow from USD $14.29 billion in 2025 to over $35 billion by 2030.

The partnership supports Morocco’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy, which targets bringing 75% of the adult population into the formal financial system by 2030. It addresses the challenge of accessing global income without needing a foreign bank account.

Nabil Amar, President of the CASHPLUS Group, called the deal a key milestone in democratizing access to global financial services. He emphasized that enabling instant, secure withdrawals through the mobile app empowers Morocco’s digital generation.

PayPal reported that the move reflects its strategy to expand across the Middle East and Africa with localized collaborations that connect more people to the global economy.
