Checkout.com has announced a strategic partnership with Spotify to provide global acquiring services. The collaboration aims to deliver a seamless, secure, and reliable payments experience for Spotify’s 700 million monthly active users and over 280 million paying subscribers.

Through the partnership, Checkout.com will leverage its global presence and local expertise to optimize payment performance across more than 180 countries. The integration includes Intelligent Acceptance, Checkout.com’s AI-powered solution that routes transactions in real time, reduces failures, and improves performance.

Spotify will also use Network Tokens and Authentication services to ensure advanced security and smooth recurring payments for subscribers. Sandra Alzetta, Vice President, Global Head of Payments and Customer Service at Spotify, said the partnership allows the company to focus on delivering music, podcasts, and audiobooks while optimizing payments at scale.

Guillaume Pousaz, CEO and Founder of Checkout.com, revealed that the collaboration is a key step in supporting digital enterprises worldwide. He added that Intelligent Acceptance performs 87 million real-time optimizations daily, helping to maximize acceptance rates, reduce costs, and enhance the payments experience.
