Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET), the connectivity cloud company, has announced new features for Cloudflare One, its Zero Trust platform. These updates are designed to help organizations securely adopt and deploy generative AI applications.

The company revealed that the new tools allow customers to automatically analyze and set controls on AI usage across their organization. This aims to enhance team productivity and innovation without compromising security or privacy standards.

Organizations across finance, marketing, engineering, and design are increasingly using generative AI to work faster, streamline tasks, and build powerful applications. However, this adoption often occurs without proper security measures. Employees may accidentally share sensitive information with AI tools, or developers may deploy AI-driven apps without security oversight.

Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder of Cloudflare, said, “Cloudflare is the best place to help businesses roll out AI securely. We offer a Zero Trust platform with a full set of AI products, backed by a global network.”

Cloudflare introduced AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) to safeguard against potential AI-related threats. The platform provides security teams with the ability to:

  • Discover AI usage across the organization with the new Shadow AI Report.
  • Protect against unapproved AI applications via Cloudflare Gateway, enforcing policies at the network edge.
  • Safeguard sensitive data without fully restricting AI use through AI Prompt Protection.

Additionally, Zero Trust MCP Server Control consolidates AI tool requests into a single dashboard. This gives security teams better visibility and control over AI interactions, enabling policy enforcement at both user and server levels.

These updates reinforce Cloudflare One’s position as a key solution for secure enterprise AI adoption.
