Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET) announced its fifth annual Impact Report, highlighting its commitment to building a faster, more secure, and sustainable Internet. The report revealed steps taken in 2025 to support journalists, nonprofits, and developers while advancing AI applications responsibly.

Matthew Prince, co-founder and CEO of Cloudflare, stated, “Our mission is to help build a better Internet drives everything we do. In 2025, we made our products free and accessible to those who need them most, from journalists facing attacks to startups developing AI-native applications.”

The report detailed several milestones:

  • Cloudflare protected more than 3,000 vulnerable websites from an average of 9.9 billion cyberattacks per month through Project Galileo. The initiative shields journalists, human rights defenders, and humanitarian organizations in over 120 countries.
  • Nonprofits and independent media received tools like Bot Management and AI Crawl Control to better control how AI uses their content, all provided for free.
  • The Athenian Project helped secure elections in 33 U.S. states and seven countries, blocking 200 million DDoS attacks during the 2024 election period.

Additionally, Cloudflare reported completing its emissions commitments by offsetting 31,000 metric tons of CO2e. The company also announced plans to hire 1,111 interns in 2026, focusing on training the next generation of technology leaders in AI applications.

The report underscores Cloudflare’s ongoing focus on cybersecurity, AI innovation, and sustainable digital infrastructure worldwide.
