Dubai Electricity and Water Authority announced that its Sustainability and Innovation Centre has launched the DEWA CleanTech Alliance initiative. The move gives local and international companies a platform to showcase solutions that support the energy transition and net-zero goals in the UAE and worldwide.

The authority revealed that the alliance allows members to present innovations in sustainability, clean energy, and renewable energy. In addition, it supports collaboration with investors and technology innovators to accelerate practical clean energy deployment.

According to DEWA, the Sustainability and Innovation Centre plays a key role in supporting the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. The centre was reported to function as a global incubator for clean and renewable energy technologies by encouraging partnerships, innovation, and new opportunities that support long-term sustainability.

DEWA Managing Director and CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer stated that the centre contributes to strengthening Dubai and the UAE’s clean energy ecosystem indicating steady progress toward national net-zero targets.

Every year, the centre reportedly welcomes tens of thousands of visitors, including investors, entrepreneurs, start-ups, companies, universities, and academic institutions from around the world. As a result, it serves as a destination for gaining technical and practical knowledge in clean and renewable energy.

Members of the DEWA CleanTech Alliance can participate in the Sustainability and Innovation Centre’s initiatives. They are also provided opportunities to present solutions at the centre and benefit from programs designed to support innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth in the clean energy sector.
