Digital Dubai has marked a major milestone in the emirate’s transformation, as Dubai enters a new era of autonomous city management powered by data and artificial intelligence.

The announcement was made by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during his visit to Digital Dubai. He said the city will be managed through integrated systems and unified data to deliver seamless, proactive, and secure services.

Moreover, he highlighted that these initiatives represent a strategic investment in the future. They aim to reinforce Dubai’s global leadership in quality of life, safety, and innovation.

During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed progress across the emirate’s digital transformation agenda. This includes efforts led by Digital Dubai and its entities, such as the Digital Dubai Government Establishment and the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment.

In addition, he launched several strategic projects designed to accelerate the transition toward a fully integrated digital city. These projects aim to simplify daily life and enhance overall happiness.

Furthermore, Sheikh Hamdan directed all government entities to integrate services for individuals and businesses into a unified digital ecosystem within one year. These services will be delivered through streamlined platforms to reduce time and effort. He also assigned Digital Dubai to coordinate implementation and ensure full integration.

“Our goal is to simplify procedures and reduce platforms,” he said. “We aim to deliver efficient services that strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for business and investment.”

He added that Dubai continues to pursue excellence despite global challenges. Continuous improvement remains central to its development strategy.

Meanwhile, Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori described the projects as a qualitative leap. He noted that technology is now part of an intelligent ecosystem that can “see, think, and act” to serve people.

He also emphasized that Digital Dubai is working closely with all entities to build a unified digital infrastructure. This includes connected systems, integrated data, and embedded artificial intelligence to enhance safety, efficiency, and happiness.

At the same time, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed key data projects developed by the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment. These initiatives transform data into accessible knowledge and economic value. They combine open data with intelligent analytics powered by generative AI to enable fast access to information.

Additionally, the projects aim to establish an AI-driven government model where performance is fully data-based. They are supported by advanced infrastructure, including AI accelerators and a bank of machine learning models to ensure scalability and quality.

The initiatives also provide secure sandbox environments. These allow entities to test AI use cases while maintaining compliance, data privacy, and governance.

Notably, the projects are expected to deliver measurable economic impact. They aim to support GDP growth by more than AED10 billion within two years. They also target placing Dubai among the top 10 cities in the Government AI Readiness Index.

According to Younus Al Nasser, data has become a key driver of economic growth. He said Dubai continues to transform data into a strategic asset that supports a competitive digital economy and advances the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

In parallel, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the second generation of Government Resource Planning Systems. This joint initiative involves Digital Dubai, the Department of Finance, and the Dubai Government Human Resources Department. It focuses on enhancing integration, efficiency, and future readiness using AI.

The upgraded systems cover finance, HR, payroll, procurement, and asset management. As a result, they support better planning, decision-making, and service delivery.

Moreover, Matar Al Hemeiri said future readiness depends on integration before technology. He noted that unified policies and platforms are key to building an efficient government ecosystem.

In addition, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed projects showcasing national capabilities in digital city management. These systems analyse diverse data and provide real-time insights to support urban planning, emergency response, and service performance.

The projects also use IoT technologies to detect incidents such as fires and send instant alerts to relevant entities, including Dubai Civil Defense. This enhances safety and response times.

Finally, he reviewed Agentic AI solutions. These enable users to interact with AI agents through natural conversations to access and complete government services instantly.

Overall, these initiatives reflect Dubai’s ambition to become a leading global digital city. They aim to contribute AED100 billion annually to the economy while enhancing quality of life. Through these efforts, Digital Dubai continues to drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth across the emirate.
