du, the telecom and digital services provider, today announced a new youth AI program in collaboration with Cisco Networking Academy, one of the world’s longest-standing IT skills-to-jobs initiatives. The 42-hour program focuses on AI and Data Science certification training and targets university students and young professionals in the UAE.

The initiative is led by du Youth Council, which will use Cisco’s global technology expertise to help the UAE’s next generation master essential AI and data analytics skills. The curriculum combines hands-on learning with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, alongside real-world projects using Excel, SQL, and Tableau.

Noora Nasser from du Youth Council said the collaboration highlights du’s commitment to equipping UAE youth with digital skills for the future economy. “By teaming up with Cisco Networking Academy, we are creating opportunities for young people to become leaders in global digital transformation and strengthen the UAE’s position as a technology pioneer,” she added.

The self-paced program addresses growing regional and global demand for AI and data analytics expertise while supporting UAE Vision 2071 and the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. Participants will earn globally recognized Cisco-certified credentials and digital badges, boosting employability and digital literacy in a competitive job market.

Ahmed Elkabbany, Regional Manager at Cisco Digital Impact Office, Middle East, Africa & CIS, said the collaboration brings world-class AI and Data Science education to UAE youth. He emphasized that such initiatives help build a skilled workforce that drives innovation and economic growth in the region.

Available year-round through Cisco Networking Academy’s digital platform, the program offers flexibility for busy students and young professionals. du Youth Council will manage participant engagement and promotion, while Cisco provides comprehensive course content, certification paths, and mentorship.

Cisco Networking Academy has been active in the UAE since 1999, training over 144,000 learners in the country. In the 2025 fiscal year alone, more than 29,000 students across 38 academies participated in the program. The youth AI program reinforces du and Cisco’s ongoing efforts to empower UAE youth with future-ready skills.
