Karim Benkirane, Chief Commercial Officer at du, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, describing the du Smart Car as a groundbreaking addition to their product lineup. The du Smart Car is designed for ease of use, functioning as a plug-and-play solution for drivers and passengers alike. Its built-in 4G Wi-Fi hotspot supports up to 20 devices simultaneously. Users gain access to vital vehicle data such as speed, engine status, fuel consumption, and more through the dedicated du Smart Car app, downloadable from Google Play and the Apple App Store.

In addition to providing connectivity, the device offers robust monitoring and security capabilities. Users receive alerts for potential safety hazards, including sudden braking, acceleration, collisions, and exceeding speed limits. Real-time notifications for diagnostic trouble codes (DTC errors) are also provided. Detailed trip reports and driver behavior data further enhance the user experience.

Available at all du retail stores and the du eShop, the du Smart Car comes with a twelve-month contract priced at AED99 per month for the device. Furthermore, customers can benefit from an exclusive promotion offering a 100GB data plan.
