His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, announced a package of artificial intelligence (AI) projects and initiatives. These aim to accelerate Dubai’s AI adoption and drive digital transformation across key sectors.

The projects include the launch of the AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform, the creation of the Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce, and the Unicorn 30 Programme. They were approved during the second 2025 meeting of the Higher Committee for Future Technology Development and the Digital Economy. His Highness reviewed progress and achievements over the past period.

Sheikh Hamdan revealed that Dubai is committed to becoming the world’s fastest, smartest, and most prepared city to adopt AI and future technologies. He reported that the emirate’s journey is guided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE. The vision aims to build a fully integrated digital economy powered by knowledge and innovation, strengthening Dubai’s position as a global hub for advanced technologies.

His Highness emphasised that government entities are enhancing readiness to adopt AI tools. This will make public services more efficient, secure, and innovative, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). He added that Dubai’s success relies on integration, collaboration, and a shared commitment across government entities.

The AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform provides a secure, integrated digital environment. It empowers government entities to develop AI-driven solutions with higher quality, faster delivery, and lower costs. It also strengthens cybersecurity and governance frameworks to maintain data integrity and trust.

Meanwhile, the Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce was announced to align government entities on AI adoption. The taskforce will focus on institutional integration, faster decision-making, and measurable impact across sectors. It follows discussions led by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) with Chief AI officers from 27 government entities.

The Unicorn 30 Programme was reported to support the growth of 30 emerging companies. Launched by Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Dubai Founders HQ, it involves 80 local and international companies. The programme covers financing, growth, regulation, and governance. Its goal is to create a supportive ecosystem that enables startups to scale globally and strengthens Dubai’s digital economy.

Additionally, plans for GITEX Global 2026 were revealed. The event will move from Dubai World Trade Centre to Expo City Dubai and feature expanded global participation, richer content, and advanced infrastructure in a sustainable, green environment.

His Highness was also briefed on key achievements of major projects. These include Dubai PropTech Hub, aiming to become the largest property technology hub in the MENA region by 2030. The hub targets 200 specialised companies and 3,000 skilled jobs. Updates on Dubai Founders HQ’s operational strategy were also reported.

The meeting included His Excellencies Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Helal Saeed Almarri, Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Khalfan Belhoul, Ahmed bin Byat, Malek Al Malek, Arif Amiri, and Maha Al Mezaina.
