Dubai Hosts 60+ Startups at AI Connect

Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) hosted the AI Connect event, bringing together over 60 startups, entrepreneurs, government entities, and investment institutions to drive artificial intelligence (AI) adoption in the government sector.
Organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), the event saw startups and government entities signing agreements to co-develop AI applications and solutions tailored for Dubai. The initiative aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for AI innovation.

At the event, startups showcased their work, engaging with key stakeholders from the public and private sectors. Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, highlighted groundbreaking AI projects and use cases already being implemented in Dubai’s government to tackle critical challenges and enhance operational efficiency.

A panel discussion featured notable participants, including Musafir, AI Camp, Pixonal, Enterprise Bot, and Aqtab. They shared success stories and stressed the crucial role of government support in transforming innovative ideas into practical solutions.

Delegates were also briefed on the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation. This roadmap emphasizes improving the quality of life in Dubai through diverse AI applications.
Overseen by DCAI, the blueprint aims to create a thriving environment for AI startups and attract global talent by offering ease of doing business, cutting-edge digital infrastructure, and agile regulatory frameworks.

The event also focused on increasing women’s participation in AI and discussed strategies to overcome challenges in AI development and integration.
