e& UAE, the flagship telecom arm of e&, has announced it has secured three prestigious CAMARA certifications under the GSMA Open Gateway initiative. The achievement reaffirms the operator’s leadership in API innovation, interoperability, and monetisation.

The CAMARA project, part of GSMA’s Open Gateway initiative, develops standardised telecom APIs. These allow developers and partners to securely access network features such as authentication, billing, and device status.

The certifications achieved include:

  • SIM Swap API: Enables secure customer authentication and reliable service management.
  • Carrier Billing API: A region-first deployment offering seamless payment solutions.
  • Device Status API: Re-certified to provide real-time device insights and operational efficiency.

These milestones position e& UAE as the only operator in the region with three CAMARA certifications, outpacing other MENA operators. They underline the company’s commitment to advancing standardised APIs and fostering developer-ready network services.
