Eaton Unveils New Green Motion EV Chargers

Eaton, a global intelligent power management company, is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) charging portfolio with the launch of the Green Motion Duo EV charger and the Green Motion 30 and 60 fast chargers for commercial settings, set to be available in 2025. These new chargers are currently available for preorder.

The Green Motion Duo is designed to charge two EVs simultaneously at up to 22 kW each, making it an ideal solution for locations where two vehicles are frequently parked together. This dual-charging capability helps reduce the overall investment costs of EV infrastructure, especially in compact spaces like driveways or garages. The Duo charger can be mounted on walls, floors, or ceilings to maximize space utilization.

The Green Motion DC 30 and DC 60 are high-power fast chargers that cater to commercial applications, offering rapid “destination charging” for locations like supermarkets, restaurants, and roadside charging stations. Both models are bi-directional, supporting vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology and enabling seamless charging through the “Plug & Charge” feature. These chargers are ISO15118 compliant, ensuring easy and efficient operation.

Eaton’s new chargers support dynamic load balancing, adjusting their output based on the energy demand of the building or site they are connected to, preventing capacity overloads. This feature is particularly beneficial for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and fleet vehicle operators, ensuring that chargers are always ready for use. With their high uptime and reliability, these chargers deliver consistent performance.

In addition to their advanced functionality, Eaton’s Green Motion chargers are compatible with both AC and DC charging, offering flexibility to suit different building needs. They are also compliant with the EU’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) and feature user-friendly digital interfaces for easy customer use and installer servicing. With remote software upgrades and minimal commissioning time, installation is up to 25% faster compared to other market options.

Eaton’s Green Motion EV chargers incorporate recycled plastics and other high-quality materials, supporting sustainable charging solutions.
