Ericsson and Mastercard have announced a collaboration to reshape how money moves worldwide. The partnership integrates the Ericsson Fintech Platform with Mastercard Move, enhancing digital wallet capabilities.

The move will empower telecom providers, banks, and fintechs to launch new payment services. It also aims to reach unbanked and underbanked communities.

Ericsson’s pre-integrated APIs, cloud-native deployment, and compliance-ready infrastructure simplify fintech connectivity to Mastercard Move. This reduces technology complexity, lowers operational barriers, and accelerates the launch of new services.

The collaboration is designed to transform how financial services are built, delivered, and scaled. It creates new revenue streams and strengthens digital ecosystems in both emerging and developed markets.

Financial inclusion and accessibility remain key focuses. Mastercard Move operates across 200 countries and territories, connecting over 17 billion endpoints and supporting transactions in 150 currencies.

Ericsson’s fintech platform serves 22 countries, with more than 120 million active users. It processes over 4 billion transactions monthly, covering digital wallets, payments, remittances, lending, and loyalty services, all with enterprise-grade security.

The integration of Mastercard Move into Ericsson’s platform aims to accelerate digital payment adoption. The rollout will begin in the Middle East and Africa, where demand for mobile money and interoperable payments is high.
